  Having been suffering from an ingrown toenail and an infection begun in October during a pedicure, I was referred to "Foot & Ankle" by my primary care physician. The procedure to cut away part of the big toe toenail was more difficult to contemplate than to experience. Dr. Adam Shapiro numbed the toe and surrounding area, completed the procedure, gave me all supplies I might need and I proceeded to be obedient to his instructions. I had NO pain. No discomfort at night. Daily care was simple and written for me. I had the procedure done 1/27/14 and all swelling, discomfort, and especially the old pain is gone. I received superlative care and I am very grateful for it.
